What are the odds your miner hits a Bitcoin Cash block?

Solo mining is a lottery where every hash is a ticket. These chances use the live Bitcoin Cash difficulty from our own node.

How it is worked out

A block needs on average difficulty x 2^32 hashes. Hashing has no memory, so the chance of at least one block in a period is 1 - exp(-hashrate x seconds / (difficulty x 2^32)).

Bitcoin Cash adjusts its difficulty after every block, so these numbers move during the day. A month is 30.44 days and a year 365.25 days. Miner hashrates are typical figures from our miner pages.

These are chances, not schedules. A miner that has not found a block yet is not any closer to one.
